In a small Glasgow town called Easterhouse, on July 3, 1965, David Flanagan and Elizabeth Flanagan welcomed their son, Tommy Flanagan, into the world. He grew up in Glasgow with his brother Andrew Flanagan and five other children. Not surprising for a Scotsman, Tommy was raised Catholic and spent his childhood serving as an acolyte in the Catholic Church.
Life took an unexpected turn for Tommy when his father walked away from the family, leaving them without a patriarch to support the large family. This unfortunate turn of events brought trouble for the Flanagan children, including Tommy, who got into trouble himself trying to live life as he saw fit. A large family like hers struggled with money and Tommy, like the rest of his siblings, worked to support the family. Tommy mainly took on odd jobs like painting, decorating and being a DJ.
There is no official information on Tommy’s educational history, with little confirmation that he attended college. If he did, he might not have become a DJ, which eventually led him to become an actor.
