Tara Schiphof has been crowned Miss Georgia 2023 at the River Center of Performing Arts in Columbus, Georgia, after defeating 57 other contestants. The 25-year-old from King, North Carolina, won a $25,000 scholarship, a sash, and the prestigious title.
She will represent Georgia in the Miss America 2024 class, and this is not her first attempt at the Miss Georgia Scholarship Competition – she was the first runner-up last year.
Tara was born in North Carolina and pursued her passion for classical ballet from a young age. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in classical dance from the University of North Carolina School of Arts and is currently enrolled in a Master of Science in Management Program at Wake Forest University’s School of Business.
Miss Georgia 2023 established the community service program #YesYouCan, aiming to change the perception of failure and turn it into an opportunity for advancement. She plans to extend the program to schools across Georgia.
On the same day, Tara Schiphof was crowned Miss Georgia 2023, Miss Georgia Teen 2023 was also announced, with Charlie Key of Cobb County clinching the title. Tara will represent Georgia in the upcoming Miss America 2024 pageant.
