Who is Alex Caruso?
Alex was born in College Station, Texas on February 28, 1994. He attended A&M Consolidated High School where he started his basketball career under two amazing high school coaches, Rick German and Rusty Segler.
In his senior year, he averaged eighteen points and nine rebounds. By the end of his high school career, he not only earned the District Most Valuable Player honor after leading his team to the postseason, he was also named a TABC All-Star, as well. that state.
After high school, Alex Caruso served as ball for the Aggies long before he even attended Texas A&M University. NBA Career
After his college career, Alex entered the 2016 NBA Draft but was not drafted. He would later join the Philadelphia 76ers for their NBA Summer League. In September of that year, he signed a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder, who would waive him later the next month.
In November, Blue Oklahoma City of the NBADevelopment League acquired him. The following year (2017), he participated in another NBA summer league, this time with the Los Angeles Lakers. Alex Caruso is one of three children born to his parents, Mike and Jackie Caruso. He has 2 sisters (Megan and Emily) who are both Texas A&M graduates. Megan graduated with the class of 2014 and Emily the class of 2018.
His father Mike Caruso also played college basketball at Creighton University. He is currently the assistant manager of game operations at Texas A&M. According to the senior Caruso, Alex had options to choose a future career, but the younger had always loved basketball. So he decided to make a career out of it.
