Hoda Kotb is a broadcast journalist, television personality, and author from the United States. She is a co-host of the NBC News morning show Today and a co-anchor of the show's entertainment-focused fourth hour. Kotb previously worked as a correspondent for Dateline NBC, a television news magazine program. Kotb was born in Norman, Oklahoma, and spent childhood in Morgantown, West Virginia, and Alexandria, Virginia. Throughout the 1990s, she lived in New Orleans.

Career Of Hoda Kotb
After college, Kotb's first on-air position was at CBS station WXVT in Greenville, Mississippi. From 1988 to 1989, Kotb worked as a reporter for ABC station WQAD in Moline, Illinois. From 1989 until 1991, she worked as a weekend anchor and reporter for CBS station WINK in Fort Myers, Florida. Kotb worked as an anchor and reporter for CBS affiliate WWL in New Orleans, Louisiana, from 1992 to 1998. Martina McBride invited Kotb to appear in her music video for "I'm Gonna Love You Through It," a ballad devoted to cancer survivors, in 2011.

After multiple guest hosts filled in for Hoda last week, viewers of the NBC morning show began to wonder where she was. But, just as abruptly as she had departed, she reappeared. On Thursday, the Today co-host announced that she had tested positive with the coronavirus and tweeted, "Thank you for your kind words! What Is Hoda Kotb Ethnicity?
Hoda Kotb belongs to the Egyptian Arabic ethnic group. Her parents, A.K. and Samaha Kotb, were born in Egypt and moved to the United States, despite being born in Norman, Oklahoma, and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia, and Alexandria, Virginia. She earned a bachelor's degree in 1982 after graduating from Fort Hunt High School. She chose Virginia Tech to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. In college, she was a Beta Nu Chapter member of the Delta Delta Delta women's sorority.
