What Happened To Kratos Daughter?

Calliope was born and raised in Sparta, where she shared a home with her mother, Lysandra. At birth, it was discovered that Calliope had a skin disease caused by Ares, which rendered her weak in the eyes of Spartan Law and sentenced her to sacrifice. She was only saved when Kratos set out on a quest for Ambrosia after consulting a healer who gave him The Fire of Apollo. The healer was suggested to be a disguised Zeus, Calliope's grandfather.

When Kratos and a battalion of his soldiers arrived, both Calliope and Lysandra were in a village of Athena worshippers. Kratos then ordered his men to destroy the village and leave zero survivors after he declared his allegiance to Ares. Kratos then decided to enter the Temple of Athena and slaughter everyone inside with the Blades of Chaos. Unfortunately, Kratos' bloodthirst blinded him to who he killed until it was too late; Ares brought Calliope and Lysandra to the temple, and Kratos killed both.

Who Is Kratos Daughter?

Calliope, like Lysandra, was one of the few people who was not intimidated by Kratos and admired him. Even after Kratos killed her, Calliope still loved and quickly embraced him. Calliope fell into a deep depression after Kratos abandoned her while he was in Elysium Fields, lost all interest in her flute, and presumably abandoned it just as he had abandoned her.

After Kratos Daughter Death

Instead of being condemned to the Underworld with the rest of the departed souls, Calliope was allowed to live among the pure souls of the Elysium Fields at the base of the Pillar of the World. Calliope thrived in the lush and peaceful surroundings and was even allowed to wander beyond the boundaries of Elysium through the nearby Temple of Persephone, where she began playing her flute on the dock to the River Styx.
