Who Is Jeff Dahmer?

Jeffrey Dahmer was a well-known American serial killer and sex offender. The killer committed the murder and dismemberment of seventeen boys and men between 1978-1991. His later murders involved necrophilia, cannibalism, and the permanent preservation of body parts. Jeff is known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster. The killer died on November 28, 1994. In 1992, he was sentenced to a total of 16 life terms of imprisonment for his crimes, and he died 2 years later. According to Yahoo news, Oxford Apartments do not exist now. After Jeffrey's arrest, most residents moved out of the building, and the complex could not rent out the empty units to other people.

The Campus Circle Project bought the building for $325,000 and it was explained as "a collaborative neighbourhood redevelopment initiative" sponsored by Marquette University. The Project allowed all remaining tenants to find new homes. Then the entire building was destroyed at the request of the victim's families in 1992, 15 months after finding human remains in Jeffrey's former apartment.

Where Is Jeffrey Dahmer Apartment Building Now?

Jeffrey lived in apartment #213, located at 924 North 25th Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The 49-unit building, known as the Oxford Apartments, was Jeffrey's house for 14 months. Oxford Apartments do not exist now. He moved-in in May 1990 and was arrested on July 22, 1991.

Jeffrey Dahmer Grandmother House

Jeffrey lived with his grandmother, Catherine, in her house in a suburb near downtown Milwaukee called West Allis. Catherine lived on 2357 S 57th Street in a home still standing today and claimed to be completely unaware of the murders under her roof. Jeffrey moved out into an apartment at 808 North 24th Street in 1988 and later moved into the Oxford Apartments a year and a half later.

What Happened To Jeff Dahmer?

On 28 November 1994, Jeff left his cell to do his daily task of cleaning the toilet block and he was accompanied by inmates Christopher and Jesse.

Those three were left unsupervised in the showers of the jail gym for almost 20 minutes. At approximately 8:10 a.m, Jeff was found on the floor of the gym's bathrooms, suffering from a head wound. He was then brought to the hospital and was pronounced dead an hour later.
