Who Is Commander Cody In Star Wars?
One of the things we learned about the Galactic Republic's use of clones in its conflict with the Separatists during the Clone Wars is how heavily the Republic depended on them. Of course, the Jedi saw the clones as loyal allies who grew to be their friends in a common goal, in contrast to how they were frequently viewed as disposable foot soldiers. Accordingly, the various clones that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker fought alongside during the Clone Wars allowed them to make a number of acquaintances.

During the Clone Wars, CC-2224, often known as Cody, was a prominent clone commander who oversaw the 7th Sky Corps. He was General Obi-Wan Kenobi's second in command due to his position. Obi-Wan liked being around Cody because he thought he was reliable and devoted. Additionally, Cody possessed extraordinary combat and strategic abilities compared to the other clones.
Commander Cody made an appearance in the Battle of Utapau when the conflict was about to come to a close, even though a significant portion of his plot was revealed during the events of the Star Wars: Clone Wars series.
What Happened To Commander Cody?
Even after Order 66, Commander Cody continued serving the Empire; he was last seen in the final enslavement of the Wookies of Kashyyyk. Because the Empire had transitioned to using Stormtroopers from clone troopers to save cost, Commander Cody's fate is pretty much unknown. Though Commander Cody was quite prominent as a character during the Clone wars, he was nowhere to be seen after the events of Order 66. In the recent release of The Bad Batch Season 2 trailer, we might know what happened to Commander Cody.

Did Commander Cody Remove The Chip?
Cody was unable to get around the programming as he shot down Kenobi, who we all know managed to survive the attack after colliding into the water, unlike Commander Rex, who was able to figure out how to remove the chip that was in charge of the remote programming that would force the clones to obey Order 66.

The exciting thing about Commander Cody is that, following the events of Order 66, he hasn't appeared in any Star Wars-related projects. He was initially going to be a consultant for Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars: Rebels, but that plan was scrapped. He was very close to the Jedi, and we know he is one of the clones that couldn't figure out how to get beyond Order 66's programming. But he hasn't been seen since his previous appearance during Order 66.
Commander Cody Death In Star Wars
Commander Cody is still alive and well, given that he will appear in season 2 of The Bad Batch. What happens to him during the Rebellion's events is unknown, though.

We know that Rex and a few other clones were still alive during the Rebellion's events and might still be alive today. But nothing is known of Commander Cody's fate. As a result, there is a chance that The Bad Batch will help us comprehend what happened to Commander Cody and the reasons behind his refusal to team up with Rex and the other clones during the events of Rebels.
