Wendy Williams’ Son Kevin, 22, Gets Evicted from $2M Miami Apartment as Mom Faces Financial Constraints

Kevin Hunter Jr., the son of Wendy Williams, was recently evicted from his $2 million Miami apartment due to defaulting on $70,000 in rent payments.

Legal action was initiated in August against the 22-year-old for failing to uphold his rental obligations since February.

The lawsuit includes a lease agreement showing that Wendy Williams made an upfront payment of $100,000 for the first year of the apartment.

In his response, Kevin Hunter acknowledged the overdue rent and cited his mother’s health issues as the reason for the financial strain, which led to her assets being placed under court control.

In his written statement, Hunter explained, “All of this happened suddenly and all of the financial support that she always gave me stopped, including my housing.”

“Even though my name is on the lease, my mom was paying, and for medical and legal reasons, she has not been able to pay the rent for the past months since the 1 year lease ended and the court has controlled her finances.”

Hunter disclosed that his mother’s health issues arose “very quickly and unexpectedly,” resulting in him taking a year off school during the COVID-19 pandemic to care for her.

He also confirmed his arrangements for temporary housing and the process of relocating from the apartment facing eviction.

Ultimately, the court ruled in favor of the apartment complex and facilitated Hunter’s eviction on September 14.

In a separate incident, Kevin Hunter faced another eviction lawsuit in Miami on August 31, 2021, when he failed to vacate another apartment complex by the end of his lease on August 10.
