Transfer: Liverpool warned against signing Mbappe

The warning against Liverpool’s potential signing of Kylian Mbappe has been issued by Liverpool legend Didi Hamann. He expressed concerns about the impact of Mbappe’s wages on the team dynamics at Anfield amid the transfer rumors. Mbappe’s current contract with Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire at the end of the season. As a result, the France captain is free to engage in pre-agreements with foreign clubs starting this January. While Real Madrid has been linked with a move for the forward, Liverpool has also emerged as a potential destination. Hamann pointed out the financial challenges of signing Mbappe, particularly the significant disparity in wages between him and the rest of the squad, which could potentially upset the team dynamics. Despite these reservations, Hamann acknowledged Mbappe as one of the world’s best players and expressed that it would be exciting to see him at Liverpool. Notably, Mbappe had previously come close to joining Madrid but ultimately chose to extend his contract with PSG.
