At a pre-school childcare center in Thailand, a former police officer’s violent rampage has resulted in the death of at least 28 individuals.
Reported by Reuters, the perpetrator is currently on the loose following the assault in Nong Bua Lamphu, a region in the northeastern area of the country.
Law enforcement has disclosed that the assailant shot and stabbed both children and adults before fleeing the scene.
The gunman, identified as Panya Kamrab, was dismissed from the police force last year, as reported by Thai PBS. He had entered the center armed with a gun and a knife.
Local police colonel Jakkapat Vijitraithaya stated that Kamrab had been terminated from the force due to drug-related issues.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear at the time of this report. Further details will be provided as they emerge…
