The Report on Alleged Corrupt Monarchs is Submitted by Abia Panel


The investigation into alleged improper conduct of certain traditional rulers in Abia State by the Board of Inquiry has concluded with the submission of its report.

Prince Uzor Nwachukwu, Abia State’s commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, expressed his congratulations to the Chairman and the board members for their diligence during the investigative period, upon receiving the report in his office.

Nwachukwu commended the board for their remarkable capacity and perseverance in carrying out the assignment despite encountering various challenges and limitations. He assured them that their recommendations would be duly considered.

The commissioner conveyed Governor Alex Otti’s gratitude to the chairman and members of the Board of Inquiry for their exemplary performance.

Justice Igbo Akomas (Rtd), the Chairman of the Board, submitted the findings to the Commissioner and urged the State government to review the recommendations and take necessary actions.

Justice Akomas extended gratitude to the State government for entrusting them with the assignment and thanked all who contributed to the successful completion of the inquiry, notably Eze Linus Mba, the Chairman of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, and Ikechukwu Uwanna, the Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice.
