The Launch of Taoma’s Foundation to Help the Underprivileged


A new humanitarian foundation, the Mariam Apaokagi Initiative, is being launched by the popular skit maker and comedian, Mariam Apaokagi, popularly known as Taoma. The foundation aims to provide assistance to the underprivileged in society.

During a courtesy visit to Senator Saliu Mustapha, who represents Kwara Central Senatorial District in Ilorin, Kwara State, Taoma revealed her plans for the foundation. She highlighted various programs that the foundation will undertake and expressed her desire to start the initiative in her birthplace, Ilorin, as a way of giving back to the community.

She sought the senator’s support and cooperation for the success of the foundation, to which Senator Mustapha pledged his continuous support and collaboration.

Senator Mustapha, also known as the Turaki of Ilorin, commended Taoma for her initiative and encouraged her to create content that promotes positive values and helps combat drug abuse and other forms of criminal behavior in society. He also emphasized the importance of vocational education in creating employment opportunities for the youth.
