Super Eagles vs Ghana Clash in Abuja approved for 60,000 Fans by CAF

Permitting Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has greenlit 60,000 spectators for Nigeria’s 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs second leg tie against the Black Stars of Ghana.

The match is scheduled to be held at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday, March 29. The NFF requested an increase from the initially approved 30,000 fans for the highly anticipated encounter.

The NFF’s request came after CAF had allowed 40,000 fans for the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Friday, despite reports of overcrowding during the encounter which ended in a 0-0 draw.

The overall winners of the two-legged tie will secure an automatic spot in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
