The basketball star was born to Malcolm Dinwiddie and Stephanie Dinwiddie on April 6, 1993. He was raised in Los Angeles, California alongside his brother Taylor. Dinwiddie attended William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills and also graduated from the University of Colorado.
Beginning his basketball career at Taft High,Spencer was one of the standout players of his peers. At the end of his high school career, he received a three-star rating from Rivals.com. From 2011 to 2014 he played college basketball with the Colorado Buffaloes. While there, he led the Buffaloes to the finals of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament twice in a row.
