Sarah Ajose-Adeogun, who served as the Special Adviser on Strategy, Performance, and Project Monitoring to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, has tendered her resignation.
Confirming her decision on Thursday, she took to her Facebook page to announce, “I came, I saw, I conquered”.
Speculations suggest that her resignation may be linked to the ongoing political turmoil within the Obaseki-led administration.
Ajose’s departure follows the recent resignation of former Chief Press Secretary to Obaseki, Andrew Okungbowa, marking another loss for the outgoing government.
The conflict within the Obaseki-led government revolves around the succession battle between the governor and his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu.
While Shaibu aspires to succeed Obaseki, the governor is reportedly lending his support to a Lagos-based lawyer, Asue Ighodalo.
