BIOGRAPHY
Actress Sophie Belinda Turner was born on February 21, 1996 in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom. She moved with her family to Chesterton, Warwickshire when she was two years old. She studied at The King’s High School for Girls and from a very young age she showed her interest in acting. She has been part of the Playbox Theater Company since she was three years old.
She debuted in 2011 as a professional actress playing Sansa Stark in the successful HBO television series, Game of Thrones, work that has earned her international critical acclaim and several awards. Sansa Stark opened the doors to roles in Hollywood in films such as Spy Academy (2015) and, later, X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), in which she plays Jean Grey, also known as Phoenix.
She narrated the audiobook version of Lev Grossman’s novella, “The Girl in the Mirror.” Among her latest projects are the feature films Girl Who Fell From the Sky, Time Freak , Heavy and Fénix Oscura , the latter to be released in 2019.
In 2018 she became engaged to the famous singer, Joe Jonas, who in the past belonged to the group Jonas Brothers, along with his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas.
