Ghanaian socialite, Shugatiti, has initiated a lawsuit against Reverend Frank Gogo and two others, citing defamation.
The clergyman had publicly claimed that the socialite, who also owns a restaurant, is utilizing supernatural powers to attract customers to her eatery. He stated during an interview on Oman Channel that Shugatiti is possessed by a marine spirit and that anyone who dines at her restaurant is in danger of being possessed.
Shugatiti has responded by filing a lawsuit against the pastor and has openly expressed her willingness to face him in court if he can substantiate his allegations. She has challenged the pastor to provide evidence of her being a demonic entity associated with the sea.
The court documents highlight Reverend Gogo’s alleged assertions that Shugatiti is a demon-possessed individual of dubious character, cautioning the public against associating with her.
Through her legal representative, Shugatiti is seeking a declaration that the statements made by the defendants on Oman Channel are defamatory and is also pursuing general damages for defamation of character.
