A disturbing video captures a diaper-clad toddler playing with a loaded handgun in an apartment building hallway. The child is seen pointing the gun at himself and pulling the trigger.
Neighbors who witnessed the incident last Saturday immediately notified the police, leading to an apartment search where the toddler lived with his father.
Authorities discovered a 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol stashed in the back of a desk drawer, leading to the father’s arrest.
The father could potentially face charges of child neglect, as stated by the authorities.
Fortunately, the loaded gun did not harm the boy as the bullets had not been chambered in the gun.
The boy has since been returned to his mother, with whom he resides full-time.
The concerning incident took place in Beech Grove, Indiana, located just outside of Indianapolis.
