Sheikh Jassim Withdraws from Manchester United Bid in the EPL

Further discussions have taken place between the Glazer family and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, regarding the potential purchase of 100% of Manchester United.

Unfortunately, the Glazers have once again rejected Sheikh Jassim’s bid proposal, leading him to inform them of his decision to withdraw from the process.

According to respected football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who tweeted from his X account on Saturday, Sheikh Jassim’s final bid was almost double the $3.5 billion market valuation and included an additional investment of $1.5 billion.

His tweet read: “Glazers informed of Sheikh Jassim’s decision – he has WITHDRAWN from the process. Final bid understood to be almost double than $3.5B market valuation. $1.5B extra investment was planned.

“Sheikh Jassim has presented a fully cash bid, clearing all old debt, with zero new debt, for 100% of the Club. Sheikh Jassim’s team declined to comment on this news citing ‘confidentiality restrictions’, but have confirmed they’ve withdrawn from the process.”

This turn of events has now created an opportunity for Sheikh Jassim’s rival, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, to consider making a fresh bid for the purchase of Manchester United.
