Rudi Garcia, the manager of Napoli, has provided an update on the recovery program of Victor Osimhen following his recent injury.
Osimhen has been out of action since sustaining a thigh injury while on international duty last month.
Currently, the 24-year-old is in Nigeria, undergoing his recovery process.
Garcia has revealed that the striker will be returning to Naples next week.
The gaffer stated, “He (Osimhen) has reached an agreement with the club. I have communicated with him through messages. The doctors assure me that he is following the program, and everything is going well. He will be back with us next week,” as quoted by Football Italia.
Garcia further added, “It’s not that I don’t care, but when both Osimhen and Russo are injured and unable to play, my focus is on the players who are available for selection.”
So far this season, Osimhen has scored six goals in 10 appearances across all competitions for Napoli.
