BIOGRAPHY
After expressing his intention to become a painter, designer or mechanic, Samuel Le Bihan embarked on the path of comedy by attending the Cours Florent and experiencing street theater which took him on the roads of Europe. He also joined the Conservatory as well as the Comédie Française where he resided from 1995 to 1997. It was the filmmaker René Féret who offered him his first interesting roles in Promenades d’été (1992) and La Place d’un autre (1993) .
His career launched, we see him filming under the direction of big names in filmmaking: Krzysztof Kieslowski ( Three Colors – Red , 1994), Régis Wargnier ( A French Woman , 1995) and Alain Corneau ( Le Cousin , 1997). Also in the credits of For Sale (1998) by Laetitia Masson , he was nominated for a César for Most Promising Actor for his performance in Captain Conan (1996) by Bertrand Tavernier . A new face of love in French cinema, to which Nathalie Baye is not insensitive in Vénus belle (institut) (1999), Samuel Le Bihan truly achieved recognition in 2000 thanks to the success of Fabien ‘s comedy Jet Set Onteniente – a director with whom he will collaborate again for 3 zeros (2002) and Disco (2008) – and the fantastic film Le Pacte des loups by Christophe Gans .
Incarnation of the perfect lover ( A la Folie, pas du tout , 2002) or of virility in its raw state ( A Private Affair , La Mentale , Fureur ), the actor is attempting an international career ( Le Pont of King Saint-Louis , The Last Sign , 2005), producer ( Exes , 2006) and director (Season 1 of the series Sable noir , id. ). Lending his voice to circuit veteran Chick Hicks in the animated film Cars (2006) by John Lasseter , he made a notable return to the screen by trying his hand at the horrific register ( Frontière(s) , 2007) and by wiggling to the tunes of Disco (2008). The same year, he did not hesitate to gain 20 kilos to portray Michel Ardouin, one of Mesrine ‘s accomplices in L’Instinct de mort , and in hiscontinued .
After starring in TV films in 2010 ( Obsession(s) and Le Piège Afghan ), he found himself among the recurring actors in the French detective series created by Olivier Marchal , Braquo . He then began 2012 with a film in the same genre: Une nuit , by Philippe Lefebvre . He plays alongside Roschdy Zem and Sara Forestier . The same year, the actor played one of the main roles in the mysterious Cornouaille by Anne Le Ny , alongside Vanessa Paradis .
