The discovery of the body of 22-year-old Cheyann Klus, who had been missing for over five years, was reported on Tuesday, January 17th. Her remains were identified using dental records by police detectives. Klus was last seen in November 2017 at her home in Downer’s Grove, after which she traveled to Chicago and was never heard from again. The circumstances of her death have not been disclosed. The investigation into her disappearance was a combined effort of the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI, and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office stated that they will continue to work with the Chicago Police to investigate the circumstances of her death. Klus’ sister, Mariah, confirmed the news on Facebook and asked for privacy as the family mourns the loss of her sister. She also mentioned plans for a private memorial service.
