The cause of Gombe United’s habitual late arrivals for away matches has been brought to light.
The team has been facing consistent problems with their team bus, causing delays.
Notably, Gombe United was reported to have arrived just a few hours before their match against Kwara United in Ilorin.
The team’s head coach, Mohammed Babaganaru, expressed his concerns about the impact of these delays on the team’s performance.
Babaganaru appealed to the government for financial assistance, highlighting the need for timely travel and adequate rest before matches.
He also mentioned the current predicament of their bus, which broke down in Akure, and the team had to resort to hiring buses to return to Gombe.
Gombe United is set to face off against Abia Warriors next at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
