Fans have expressed their thoughts after singer August Alsina released a new track titled “Entanglements,” offering his own interpretation of the word that gained attention when Jada Pinkett Smith used it to describe her relationship with Alsina.
“The definition of entanglement is when you tangle in the sheets,” Alsina sings on the new track, “Entanglements,” featuring rapper Rick Ross.
Pinkett Smith referred to her involvement with Alsina as an “entanglement” during a special edition of her “Red Table Talk” show with her husband, Will Smith, who came together to address the controversy surrounding her relationship with the singer.
Her interview with Will Smith followed Alsina’s disclosure in an interview with radio host Angela Yee that he had been in a romantic relationship with Pinkett Smith, who has been married to Smith since 1997.
“I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation,” Alsina said during the interview. “Due to the transformation from their marriage to (a) life partnership that they have spoken on several times, and not involving romanticism, he gave me his blessing.”
