Rapper, Gucci Mane alleges his artiste, Pooh Shiesty is being subjected to cruel and unusual conditions at prison he was transferred

Rapper Gucci Mane is speaking out against the treatment of his artiste, Pooh Shiesty, at the prison he was transferred to.

Gucci Mane took to Twitter on December 14 to express concerns about the conditions Pooh Shiesty is facing at the prison. He alleged that Pooh is only allowed one hour out of his cell each day and is given food trays without any food.

Pooh’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, echoed these concerns, claiming that his client has been on 23-hour lockdown for the past six months at FCI Pollock in Louisiana. Cohen also accused prison officials of withholding Pooh’s mail and blocking his outgoing correspondence with loved ones.

Additionally, Cohen highlighted the difficulty in arranging visits with Pooh, stating that it took him several weeks to secure an appointment and that Pooh’s family is also facing challenges in visiting him.

Pooh Shiesty received a 63-month sentence for firearm possession related to a 2020 shootout in southern Florida. Despite being initially designated to a prison closer to his home, he was sent to FCI Pollock, which is significantly farther away. Furthermore, due to the lockdown, Pooh is unable to receive visitors, making it nearly impossible for him to see his family and friends.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on the specific allegations but noted that placement of inmates is determined by various factors such as the level of supervision and medical needs.
