Following reports of some police officers’ arrogant defiance, the Nigeria Police Force’s spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has issued a response. He addressed dismissive statements allegedly made by certain officers who believed they were immune to consequences even if reported to the Inspector General of Police.
Upon being informed of these remarks on Twitter, Adejobi characterized such behavior as “gonorrhea of the mouth and circumstantial ego.”
Concurrently, he verified that the Inspector General of Police has mandated the withdrawal of police escort from individuals ineligible for such privileges.
Furthermore, in response to inquiries from the public about the IGP’s directive to enforce traffic regulations, he confirmed that the order applies to ambulances and bullion vans as well.
