Upon learning about the incident, Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu promptly intervened by covering the victim’s medical costs. The Ondo State Agency against Gender-Based Violence (OSAA-GBV) has taken up the case and pledged to pursue justice for Funmilola. The agency was established following the enactment of the VAAP law, thanks to the efforts of Governor Aketi. They urge anyone with information regarding gender-based violence cases to report them to OSAA-GBV.
