BIOGRAPHY
Peter Michael Davidson is an American comedian and actor, born on November 16, 1993, in New York. His father, Scott Matthew Davidson, was one of the firefighters who died in the attacks of September 11, 2001, in New York, when Peter was 7 years old. The experience was traumatic for his family and especially for Peter, who confessed that he began acting and improvising comedy as a way to deal with the trauma. He spent several years of his childhood and adolescence with panic attacks and depression, thinking about suicide and claiming that Kid Cudi’s music saved his life. To respond to a challenge from a group of friends, Peter went on stage, for the first time, to improvise a comedy show. He spent time at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, but dropped out to pursue a career as a comedian. He began to get jobs in series and make a name for himself, until he managed to be chosen for Saturday Night Live (2014-2019) and consolidate a success, which he had already been achieving since his first stand-up shows. Davidson has also been part of film series such as This Girl is a Disaster (2015), The Dirt (2019) and The Suicide Squad (2021), among others. Davidson was a couple for a time with the singer Ariana Grande, with whom he was going to marry before Grande called off the engagement.
