BIOGRAPHY
Paul Ben-Víctor is an American actor with a huge career in film and television; To his resume we can add the script and production of Should’ve Been Romeo . His list of performances began with Blood Promises (1987), a television film in which he acted incidentally; He also did it with his following series and films until the end of the eighties. Among some of the nineties productions in which Paul took part, we can point out The Edge of the Abyss and The Fugue , both in 1993, in the latter he shared credits with Samuel L. Jackson and Brad Pitt. Later, he appeared in Point Blank (1998) alongside Danny Trejo and Mickey Rourke, and Steven Zaillian’s A Civil Action (1998), which was nominated for two Oscars, one of them for best cinematography. In the early 2000s he added to his history some more productions such as The Invisible Man (2000-2002), an action and science fiction series in which he obtained a recurring character; Daredevil (2003) starring Ben Affleck, in this film he played mobster Jose Quesada. Years later he was cast in the miniseries John from Cincinnati (2007) and then HBO cast him as Spiros ‘Vondas’ Vondopoulos for its action series The Wire (2002-2008) in its final seasons. Among other things, he was part of the comedy Everybody Hates Chris (2005-2009). In 2012 he wrote, produced and starred in the comedy Should’ve Been Romeo ; Shortly after, he was hired by Joseph Gordon-Levitt to appear in A Daring Don Juan (2013) and then returned to HBO to be part of Vinyl (2016), a miniseries nominated for some Emmy Awards. He was recently part of Preacher (2016-2019) during its last seasons, and of the controversial Santa Clarita Diet (2017-2019) on Netflix. In fact, he collaborated again with the streaming platform and with director Martin Scorsese when he joined The Irishman (2019), where he shares credits with Robert de Niro. His projects at his door are Goliath (2016-) from Amazon Prime; the most recent season of Will & Grace (1998-); Feast of the Seven Fishes , The Banker , a drama film, both expected in late 2019; Waldo and The Trouble for 2020, and My Brothers’ Crossing , Allagash , 8-Ball no release date.
