Paul Bates is an American actor, born on December 24, 1958, in New York. Bates achieved, early in his career, supporting roles in popular films such as A Prince in New York (1988), The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990) and Jennifer 8: Key Witness (1992). Although his career has been characterized by brief and secondary interventions in film and television, Bates has remained in the medium for four decades, accumulating just over 60 credits that include roles in series such as The Wayans Bros ( 1995 ), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2001) and Max & Ruby (2018-2019) and in films such as Showgirls (1995), 8 Mile: Street of Illusions (2002) and A Prince in New York 2 (2021), among others.
