Panic as Notorious Bandit Dogo Gide Takes Over Communities In Niger

The communities in Niger are currently in a state of panic as the notorious bandit, Dogo Gide, has taken control. Recent reports from NewsNow suggest that Dogo Gide has solidified his authority over several territories. Just a month ago, numerous towns in Shiroro local government of Niger State submitted to the dominance of this feared bandit leader.

In a peace meeting held last Thursday, 36 communities swore allegiance to the bandit organization, and their request to reopen three major markets, previously closed due to security concerns, was granted by the terrorist leader.

According to Daily Sun, numerous villages including Makera, Dnakogbe, Kudodo, and others under Iburo district, as well as villages in Kusasu and Kwaki districts, along with 11 villages in the Chikuba district, declared their support for Dogo Jide’s leadership.

A source from the affected towns revealed that Dogo Gide ordered the reopening of three major markets – Kusasu, Iburo, and Chukuba – which had been closed due to banditry operations. He also stated that Dogo Gide took over revenue collection in these markets with the consent of the people, who felt they had no other choice if they wanted to live in peace.

Furthermore, Dogo Gide urged the displaced communities to return to their homes, assuring them of safety once they agreed to his terms. This development follows the surrender and pledge of loyalty from eight communities to the bandit warlord just a month ago.
