Owen Poirier Obituary, Death – It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Frances “Fran” Poirier, who left us on March 27, 2017, at the age of 62. She was born in Belleville, Illinois, to her loving parents, Rosma and Edward Owens, and her journey touched the lives of many. Fran’s memory will forever live in our hearts as we celebrate her remarkable life and the legacy she leaves behind.
Fran dedicated two decades of her life to serving the Gwinnett County School System as a para-pro, making a significant impact on the lives of the students she worked with. Her passion for education and her caring nature were evident to all who knew her. She leaves a lasting imprint on the hearts of the students she touched throughout her career.
Fran is survived by her beloved husband, Dean, as well as her two daughters, Jeanne Poirier-Brown and Carol Poirier, and her cherished granddaughter, Lilly. Her love and devotion to her family were unparalleled, and her presence brought warmth and joy to their lives. A memorial service to honor Fran’s life will be held on Sunday, April 2, at 1 PM.
The service will take place at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel, where friends and family will have the opportunity to come together, offer their support, and pay their respects. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service, providing a moment of reflection and remembrance.
