One Dead, Whole Building Displaced After Fire At Regency Park Apartments |

The Washoe County coroner has identified the woman who died after a fire at the Regency Park Apartments at 3200 Lakeside Drive. 

The medical examiner's office says 36-year-old La’Tiesha Tarver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.

The fire started after 5 a.m. Tuesday inside an apartment where a family of eight was living, with five kids aged four to 17 years old. They said there were at least three adults living there.

Officials said the fire started in the kitchen, but the cause is still under investigation.

The entire building was impacted by the fire and everyone was displaced. The Red Cross is helping relocate those affected.

Reno Fire says there was water damage and power issues for the building due to the fire.
