The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, has extended his congratulations to former Head of State and founder of the NYSC, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd), who turned 89 in October.
Ahmed, accompanied by several directors, staff, and NYSC members, visited Gowon’s residence and expressed gratitude to God for preserving his life.
In response, Gowon expressed his appreciation to the Director General and the entire NYSC for their commitment to advancing the NYSC’s objectives through various innovations.
Gowon also expressed confidence that the NYSC Trust Fund Bill would receive the necessary attention.
Furthermore, he encouraged NYSC members to uphold discipline, loyalty, and patriotism in their service to the nation.
