Nollywood Stars Console Lekan Olatunji as He Mourns the Loss of His Wife



Lekan Olatunji, a Nollywood actor, is receiving support from his fellow colleagues after the tragic loss of his beloved wife.

On Thursday, the Yoruba star announced the passing of his wife. Reports online state that the actor canceled a shoot scheduled for that day due to her demise.

Reflecting on the unquestionable power of God, he revealed that his wife passed away after undergoing expensive surgery.

He wrote, “Unquestionable God”.

In another post, he expressed how his wife accepted him 16 years ago and guided him towards a closer relationship with God, making him more focused.

He also mentioned how she promised to take good care of their children, but unfortunately, death suddenly took her away.

Weakened by the loss, the actor declared his everlasting love for his wife and pleaded with her not to abandon their children.

He said, “You accepted me the way I was 16 years ago. You taught me how to be closer to God and stay focused. You promised to take good care of my kids, which you are doing. I have put my trust in God and in you to raise my kids because of my health… Omowunmi Ifedolapo Omolabake Olatunji, please keep an eye on us because I am very weak. I will forever love you, and please don’t leave your kids. I don’t know how to cope without your prayers. Sibesibe oluwadara. Olorun to ni agbara osubare re ooo. The kids listen to your instructions more than mine, even when you were sick. My engine room is gone.”

Tawa Ajisefinni, Mosun Filani, Folorunsho Adeola, Lola Magret, Toyin Tomato, and Bimpe Akintunde offered their condolences in the comment section.

The passing of his wife comes a year after he barely survived a life-threatening accident.

The actor had shared a video of himself in the hospital bed with bandages on his head and arms. A source confirmed that he had survived a horrific accident.

Responding to the news, Bimbo Akisanya, his colleague, expressed gratitude to God for saving his life. She tearfully admitted being shaken when she saw graphic photos from the accident scene and expressed how Lekan supported her during her own difficult times.
