Kunle Afolayan’s film, Ijogbon (Chao), is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 13, 2023, just twelve days after Nigeria’s Independence Day celebration.
The movie trailer was released by NetflixNaija on the social media platform X on Friday.
In this teenage thriller, chaos erupts in a quiet, sleepy town when four teenage friends stumble upon a bag of diamonds.
Ijogbon was filmed at the KAP Film Village and Resort in the Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, where scenes from Afolayan’s previous films Jagun Jagun and Anikulapo were shot.
The cast includes Oluwaseyi Ebiesuwa, Kayode Junior Ojuolape, Fawa Aina of Ikorodu Boiz, and Ruby Akubueze as the four teenagers, alongside well-known actors such as Gabriel Afolayan, Adunni Ade, Yemi Solade, Dorothy Bachor, and Bolaji Amusan.
