In a recent development, Jordan Craig, the first baby mama of NBA star Tristan Thompson, has taken legal action to assert her rights to the $40,000-a-month child support payment for their six-year-old son.
Showing her determination, Craig filed an ‘abstract of judgment’ in Los Angeles on August 9. This document is utilized to create a public record in the event that the child support payment is not honored.
At present, there are no indications that she has been deprived of her monthly stipend from the NBA star.
The original agreement dates back to 2019, when the 32-year-old athlete was playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, earning an annual salary of $17.7 million.
However, Thompson’s circumstances have changed significantly since then, as he has had three more children with two different women, causing his annual salary to decrease to $9.2 million.
Craig and Thompson’s relationship began in 2014, but ended when he started dating Khloe Kardashian. Their relationship had turned sour by the time he became involved with Kardashian in 2016, while Craig was pregnant with their son, Prince.
Thompson now has two children with Kardashian – five-year-old daughter True, and one-year-old son Tatum, who was conceived through IVF in November 2021, shortly before the birth of his third child with fitness model Maralee Nichols.
