A 53-year-old mother has surprised welfare workers by tying the knot with her adopted son, who is 31 years younger than her.
Musician Aisylu Chizhevskaya Mingalim married her 22-year-old adopted son, Daniel Chizhevsky, on 20th October at a restaurant in Kazan, Tatarstan Republic, Russia.
She adopted Daniel after meeting him at an orphanage, where she provided singing lessons when he was just 13, according to local media.
After marrying Daniel, whom she had been raising since he was 14, Mingalim and her new spouse started planning to leave their country.
Child welfare officials have now removed five other adopted children from Mingalim’s care, including four girls and one boy.
Mingalim is contesting the decision, expressing her concern that some of her adopted children have been placed in care homes while others have returned to family members.
In addition to her adopted children, Mingalim also has a biological son from a previous marriage.
She told local media that her relationship with Daniel blossomed after she brought him home from the orphanage.
Mingalim stated, “Our relationship is perfect. We can’t live without each other. We are on the same wavelength.”
Local media reports indicate that Mingalim began adopting children after encountering orphans during a film project with a Tatarstan TV station.
She is now planning to leave Tartarstan and hopes to bring her new husband and regained custody of her adopted children, intending to take them to Moscow “where they can live freely”.
