BIOGRAPHY

Mónica Xochitl Dionne Lazo is a Mexican-American actress and host, born on February 7, 1967, in Waterbury, Connecticut. Graduated from the Actor Training Center at the Theater Studies Center, in addition to an Actor Improvement Workshop, Mónica debuted in a small role, in the film Solo con tu parte (1991), by Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón.
Soon the actress became part of Mexican television, in the decade of the 90s and the beginning of the new millennium, participating in renowned soap operas and series such as Nada personal (1996), La casa del naranjo (1998), Lo que es el love (2002), Love in custody (2005). He alternated his work on the small and big screen and in the latter he starred in films such as Sex, Modesty and Tears (1999), Hasta el viento is afraid (2007), I present you to Laura (2010), Me late chocolate (2013), among several more.

In 2006 she briefly ventured as a television host for the morning news program of the Televisión Azteca network, along with Javier Solórzano. In recent years, the actress has been part of soap operas and series such as El Vato (2016), La Querida del Centauro (2017), Diablo Guardián (2018), as well as films such as No manches Frida (2016), El club de los insomnes (2018), I swear it wasn’t me (2018) and The promise (2018).
