The school resumption timetable that has been circulating on social media has been disowned by the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) Unit of the Lagos State Ministry of Education.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had mentioned that the resumption date he announced was tentative. However, the supposed 2020/2021 academic calendar states that the first term of the session will start on September 21 and end on December 18. It also gives January 11, 2021 and May 3 as the start dates for the second and third terms.
In a statement released on Monday, August 31, OEQA spokesman Emmanuel Olaniran stated that the calendar did not originate from his office.
