Lionel Messi has dedicated his debut goal for Inter Miami to injured teammate Ian Fray.
The Argentine began his Inter Miami career with a bang, scoring a stoppage time free kick winner against Cruz Azul, as his side won 2-1.
Speaking after the match, Messi, in his typically modest persona, dedicated the goal to his injured teammate.
“Let me dedicate this victory to Ian Fray (Inter Miami teammate) who was suffering in the locker room from the injury he sustained. He comes from two serious injuries and today he has the bad luck to go through an injury again.”
Messi will hope to have Ian Fray available in midweek when Inter Miami play Atlanta United in midweek.
