Canadian actor and "Home and Family" co-host, Cameron Mathison, has been married to Vanessa Mathison since 2002, with the couple sharing two children, Lucas and Leila.
Vanessa recently took to Instagram to share a picture of herself and her kids playing with elephants, and in the caption, she gushed over them. The proud mom thanked the kids for showing her the world through their eyes.

She also thanked them for teaching her how to be more patient, love unconditionally. In another post made last Christmas, Mathison shared a picture of himself, his wife, and kids. In the caption, he wished everyone a happy holiday.
The cute family also enjoys going on trips together, as seen in a throwback the television personality made that showed moments from his family's trip to Myanmar. He captioned it:
"...Trip of a lifetime, but mostly because I was with these guys."
In another post from last year, Mathison showed that he is a girl dad, by sharing a picture of himself and Leila. In the caption, he wrote that he cherished every moment spent with her and thanked her for putting up with him.
In a more recent post from April, the television personality celebrated his son's 17th birthday, where he paid tribute to Lucas, describing him as an incredible son.
The actor shared that the surgery went smoothly and that the tumor was gone.
In September 2019, Mathison made a surprise announcement to his fans via Instagram. He shared a family picture, and in the caption, revealed that he had a health situation that he wanted to share with his fans.
Continuing, he solicited for their help, revealing that he had a tumor in his right kidney that was consistent with Renal Cell Carcinoma, also called Kidney Cancer. He also wrote:
"...They say my healthy lifestyle and diet has no doubt helped keep it from growing and spreading to other areas..."
After expressing his gratitude for discovering the tumor early, the television anchor thanked his wife and kids, as well as his urologist, Jon Giddens, for their support.
Mathison also thanked his parents, brother, and others. He hoped for prayers and positive thoughts from his fans as he prepared for his surgery.
The television anchor also revealed that he got to keep 80% of his kidney, and thanked everyone for their support, adding that he was overwhelmed by the show of love.
