Meeks Fire Near Bliss State Park Nears 100% Containment |

A fire burning near Bliss State Park in Tahoe is currently 90% contained, after sparking Wednesday afternoon. 

CAL FIRE says winds knocked over a tree onto some power lines, sparking the 2.6 acre Meeks Fire.

No homes were immediately threatened. Voluntary evacuations were in place at the time.

Highway 89 has been reopened after it was closed southbound at D.L. Bliss.

CAL FIRE was the lead agency for this fire since it was on state land.
