Maryse Ouellet now Maryse Mizanin was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on January 21, 1983 to parents Guy Ouellet and Marjolaine Martin. She spent most of her early life in Edmundston, New Brunswick. Back in high school, Ouellet quickly found herself in the minority as she was the only girl in her class.
She was directing the school’s fashion show at the time and began developing a range of make-up products. As she approached twenty, Ouellet’s interest in professional modeling increased. She began competing in beauty pageants, eventually winning the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada crown in 2003, and finishing first in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic International Final the following year. Her incredible status earned her a spot on the cover of Playboy’s 2007 “Girls of Canada” calendar.

Maryse Ouellet’s wrestling career began way back in mid-2006 when she was among the top eight contenders in this year’s WWE Diva Search. Unfortunately, she was later eliminated. Undeterred, Ouellet joined WWE as an Observer for the fitness and training facility at his developing ground, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). In December 2006, she debuted as a wrestler at the live event “OVW”. In March 2007, Ouellet had started wrestling in dark matches. That year she became the official manager of Canadian wrestler Sylvain Grenier.
It’s been a season of plenty for the new face. During the same period, she made her television debut with an episode of ‘WWE Raw’, starring in the music video for Timbaland’s single ‘Throw It on Me’.
