Milos Raonic, whose full name is Marko Mitrović, was born on December 27, 1990, in Titograd, SFR Yugoslavia, which is now known as Podgorica, Montenegro. He is a Canadian professional tennis player of Montenegrin descent, who was raised in Thornhill, Ontario. Raonic’s family migrated to Canada when he was three years old, and he honed his tennis skills at the Bramalea Tennis Club in Brampton. He is renowned as Canada’s top ATP-ranked male singles player since the inception of computer rankings in 1973, achieving a career-high ranking of World No. 6. He holds the distinction of being the sole male Canadian tennis player to be ranked within the top 10 in ATP Singles Ranking. Raonic’s first Grand Slam event qualification came at the 2010 U.S. Open. Notably, in 2011, he ascended from World No. 102 to No. 37 in just a month after reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open and clinching his maiden ATP title at the 2011 SAP Open.
