Mason Greenwood has declared that he has become a father for the first time with a heartwarming photo on Instagram on Friday.
The 21-year-old forward for Manchester United posted an image of his hand holding the baby’s hand, accompanied by a caption that reads: “11.07.23”.
Despite being suspended, Greenwood is still under contract with United.
His girlfriend, Harriet Robson, who is a university student, recently had a baby shower where she proudly displayed her growing belly.
According to The Sun, the footballer, who earns £75,000 per week, intends to marry her.
Earlier, Greenwood was spotted in a private training session with his Utd teammate, Anthony Elanga.
Despite the charges, including attempted rape, being dropped against him, Greenwood is still serving his suspension from United.
Since January of last year, he has not played a game due to his arrest following allegations made against him on social media by a woman.
In November, Greenwood was scheduled to stand trial for charges of attempted rape, assault, and coercive control, but they were subsequently dismissed by the Crown Prosecution Service in February.
Manager Erik ten Hag and the majority of the first team are open to the possibility of reinstating the star striker.
