Carey was raised in the town where she was born, where she lived. She attended Jackson Elementary School, West Junior High School, and then Borah High School, graduating in 1993. During her school years, Carey was a very bright student, attending virtually all Advanced Placement classes. In 2007, she teamed up with actress and comedy writer Liz Cackowski on The Jeannie Tate Show , an online talk show series starring Jeannie Tate and other guest stars including Rashida Jones, Bill Hader, Lonny Ross, and more.
Maggie went on to write and direct the 2013 romantic comedy feature film, The To Do List . The film relived some of Maggie’s life experiences made in her hometown of Idaho, as well as an above-average leader who graduated from high school in 1993, around the same time that Carey was doing it.
In addition to the to-do list, Maggie is credited with numerous other works as a writer, guest writer, director, or producer, including short films, television series, and documentaries. Maggie Carey met American comedian, actor, writer, director and producer Bill Hader at a comedy sketch rehearsal in Los Angeles. One of Maggie’s college friends, who also worked on comedy, had invited her to the amateur comedy production department. She was intrigued by Bill’s costume for the occasion – a shirtless jumpsuit which made her interested in him. After that, they became friends and got married on May 28, 2006.
They had three daughters – Hannah Kathryn,Harper and Hayley Clementine. Their first daughter, Hannah, was born on October 6, 2009. About three years later, on July 28, 2012 to be precise, Harper followed. Hayley finally arrived on November 15, 2014. The family of five lived in Los Angeles, California.

Unfortunately, Bill Hader filed for divorce in December 2017, five months after the couple stopped living together. The divorce proceedings were then concluded in March 2018. Although Hader cited irreconcilable differences, his very busy work schedule always put a huge strain on his marriage. He had earlier left SNL to spend more time with his family. However, the victim doesn’t seem to have completely fixed the issue.
