No list of America’s WAGs would be complete without mentioning Madison McKinley Isner, whose husband is tennis player John Isner. He gained worldwide fame by stopping the world of tennis by participating in what was the longest tennis match ever in 2010 between him and Nicolas Mahut. On November 15, 1992, Madison McKinleyIsner was born to parents; Karla and Mark McKinley in Dallas, Texas, where she was also raised alongside her two brothers; Charlie McKinley and Key McKinley. Madison had a knack for designing pieces and from a young age she looked forward to being part of the fashion industry.
After graduating from high school, Madison attended Parsons School of Design from where she graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion/Apparel Design. In 2009, while still in school, she launched Madkool LLC and began serving as her company’s designer, a role she held from its inception until 2016.
In an effort to promote her academics, MadisonMcKinley Isner attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Studio Arts in 2016. After graduation, she decided to spend time with her family. . For a period of 9 months, Madison lived on her parents’ ranch – Steerhead Ranch in Buffalo, Wyoming. During her stay, she notably spent about 10 hours a day riding horses while rounding up her family’s livestock. She was a full-time cowboy on the ranch and enjoyed every moment.
Since then, Madison has continued to frequent the ranch, spending most summers there. The Steerhead Ranch which borders the Big Horn Mountain Range and the Big Horn National Forest is owned by McKinley’s grandparents who purchased it in the 80s. In addition to starting her first company, in August 2013, Madison McKinley Isner worked as an intern for New York’s Jaya Apparel Group. Madison’s inspiration for the brand came from her admiration for the pieces she created from fusing her modern jewelry with her grandmother’s vintage types.
The brand that includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings are made in Texas, Dallas and Buffalo, Wyoming. Those made in Buffalo are found at his family’s Steerhead Ranch and the line is named after the ranch. Madison McKinley Isner sells her pieces online with prices ranging from $100 to a few thousand dollars.
