Mabel Makun, an interior decorator and wife of comedian Ayo Makun, also known as AY, has spoken out after her husband’s apology to singer Davido.
Earlier, Ayo Makun apologized to Davido for a disrespectful video mocking him, which had circulated widely.
AY acknowledged that Davido had every right to be angry, especially given how blogs twisted the story.
He recognized that it’s a learning experience for everyone in the entertainment industry and accepted the backlash for his poorly delivered joke.
Asking Davido not to dwell on it, AY declared himself as Davido’s number one fan.
Surprisingly, Davido, unaffected by the viral clip, told Ayo Makun not to worry, writing, “Nothing spoil baba mi.”
In response, Mabel Makun, who had previously criticized those who criticized her husband’s joke, had a change of heart.
She shared a video of herself enjoying her life and stated that she always believes in love and positivity.
“Love and light always,” she wrote.
It’s worth recalling that there was a widespread outrage on social media after a video surfaced from Ayo Makun’s recent show in Warri, where he made derogatory comments about Davido’s manhood, claiming that it is smaller than his own.
The comedian and actor went on to insult the singer about using his small manhood to father children with different mothers, something Ayo Makun had been trying to do with his larger manhood for 13 years.
The insensitive joke provoked the anger of Nigerians on the internet, who condemned the father of two for publicly disgracing his colleague in the entertainment industry.
In light of this, Mabel Makun expressed her disappointment with the way young people disrespect their elders in Nigeria in a post shared on Instagram in support of her husband.
