BIOGRAPHY
Luis Roberto Guzmán entered the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras and, in 1999, after completing his studies in the Drama Department, he moved to Mexico in search of starting a career as a soap opera actor. In Mexico, he continued his academic preparation studying with Patricia Reyes Spíndola and at the Televisa Artistic Studies Center (CEA). Since the late nineties he began to achieve success, appearing in supporting roles in different soap operas until he finally landed a leading role in the 2002 soap opera Between Love and Odium and in the film Ladies’ Night (2003). Although he continued with important roles in soap operas such as Alborada (2005-2006), Luis Roberto Guzmán consolidated his career when he was chosen to play the title character of the series El Pantera that aired between 2007 and 2009. In 2021 he has a main role in the new Mexican thriller for Netflix Who killed Sara?
